Funding and Grants

A wide variety of funding is available to those involved in conserving and enhancing natural beauty and promoting sustainable development and community engagement in the AONB. This includes funding administered directly through the AONB Unit – the Sustainable Development Fund and the Landscape and Biodiversity Enhancement Grant - as well as funding provided from a range of external sources – see Alternative Funding Sources.

The Sustainable Development Fund (SDF) is a grant scheme to support projects that bring social, environmental and economic benefits to the AONB and which help to deliver the Malvern Hills AONB Management Plan. You do not have to live or work within the AONB to be eligible for grant, but you must be able to demonstrate that your project will have a positive impact upon the area.
