Historic Environment

'The Malvern Hills , an Ancient Landscape' is a monograph on the rich archaeology and history to be found within the AONB. It identifies and contextualises the important sites of the area and provides a basis for further research work.

The monograph was compiled by English Heritage. It draws upon comprehensive survey work that has been carried out over a period of years by the archaeology departments of Herefordshire, Gloucestershire and Worcestershire local authorities. It is the first survey and publication of its kind for any AONB designation.
